Stress affects many systems of the body and if stress is chronic or long term then it can affect our health and wellbeing. Often it is stress that is causing our physical ailments such as IBS and headaches.
I’m passionate about helping people reduce the effects of stress in their lives as I’ve experienced it for myself and know how debilitating it can be on your day to day life.
It’s important to find constructive ways to counteract stress. Drinking extra alcohol, eating more or less, using stimulants such as excessive caffeine or the use of recreational drugs are common but destructive ways of getting through the day as they put more pressure on our body.
Constructive Self Help Methods
We need downtime in order for the body to function properly. Spending too much time in fight or flight mode means we neglect our own needs in order to just get things done. The constant stress we are under disrupts the balance our body needs for all the body systems to work together in harmony.
Reflexology & Indian Head Massage
Reflexology & Indian Head Massage gives us the downtime our body craves and by relaxing us on the physical and emotional level. Both treatments enable our body to function more efficiently and stimulate it’s own healing mechanisms. The body restores it’s natural balance and the physical symptoms that stress generates can therefore reduce.
Reflexology & Indian Head Massage help us cope with the stresses of daily life by relieving tension, improving our mood and aiding sleep.
All of these benefits lead to a general improvement in our sense of wellbeing which means we deal with life more positively and effectively.
